Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request. Before your stay, reply to your confirmation email with the time you'd like. On your arrival day or during your stay, please text us. Up to 60 minutes early or late is free when it works with our housekeeping schedule. For more than 60 minutes, the fee is $25. If you'll be arriving after 10:00 pm, please text us ahead of time.

 

Cancellations

• Up to 30 days before check-in: full refund less a $50 processing fee.

• Booked fewer than 30 days out: full refund less $50 if cancelled within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in.

• After that, if we're able to rebook your dates, we'll refund $50 for each night we rebook. Refunds made for rebooked nights are solely at our discretion. Nights we can't rebook are non-refundable.

• Illnesses, flight cancellations, and emergencies follow the same policy.

 

Changing Your Dates

You're welcome to extend your stay anytime, based on availability. Changing dates or cancelling nights follows the cancellation policy above.

 

Children

We love children, but certain sounds, such as high voices and thumpy little feet, can carry in our 1910 wood building. For this reason we're generally an adults-oriented inn, with exceptions based on the parents' judgment on how it will affect the peaceful enjoyment of other guests. Please ask if you have questions. If you decide booking with your child will be fine for everyone, we recommend either the Penthouse or the Deluxe, which are both more separated from the other guest rooms. The inn isn't set up with children's amenities, so please bring anything you'll need in that regard. The inn doesn't offer cots or other options for additional sleeping accommodations. Each room can accommodate one child, sharing the existing bedding with the parent(s), by order of the Fire Marshal. Please add a note to your booking letting us know a child will be joining you and what age.

 

Pets

We're generally a pet-free inn, but we're happy to consider exceptions for small, calm dogs when guests call or email prior to booking. If your pet is approved by management, a fee of $25 per pet, per night (plus taxes) will be added to your reservation. Pets must never be left alone in the guest rooms under any circumstances.

 

Extra Guests in the Penthouse

Rates are based on 2 guests. The Penthouse sleeps 4, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen in the nook behind a privacy screen. Each additional guest is $50 per night (plus taxes).

 

Visitors

You're welcome to have up to two visitors per suite between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm. Additional visitors must be approved by the manager ahead of time.

 

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 9:00 am, so everyone can enjoy a restful stay.

 

Events, Parties and Commercial Activities

Events, parties, commercial photo shoots, filming and other commercial activities are prohibited in the guest rooms. The main floor event rooms are available for these activities. You can make this request by filling out the Event Inquiry Form on the events page. If you're unsure whether your activity in the guest room is allowed, please ask before booking.

 

Getting Ready for Weddings

We have a bridal salon and groom's parlor on the main floor which are for getting ready for weddings. If your wedding is at St Johns Inn, you will have access to these rooms for getting ready. If your wedding is somewhere else, you're welcome to ask if the main floor getting-ready rooms are available for rent. Registered overnight guests may get ready in their suite, within the two-visitor limit between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm. Professional photographers, hairdressers and other vendors aren't permitted in guest rooms. Couples getting married are strongly encouraged to use the main floor rooms for getting ready.

 

Smoke-Free Inn

Smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping and marijuana are prohibited indoors.
